The Statue of Unity at Kevadia is about 200 km from Ahmedabad. With an early start, you can see the main sights and be home the same night.
The route
Take the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway to Vadodara, then drive via Dabhoi to Kevadia. The drive takes about four hours each way.
A simple timetable
- 6:00 am: leave Ahmedabad
- 8:00 am: breakfast near Vadodara
- 10:00 am: reach Kevadia, viewing gallery first
- 1:00 pm: lunch, then Valley of Flowers and the dam viewpoint
- 7:30 pm: laser show
- 8:30 pm: start back, home around midnight
Book these in advance
Viewing gallery tickets sell out on weekends and holidays, so book them online a few days ahead. Carry a cap and water in summer.
A same-day round trip in a sedan starts at around ₹4,900 including driver allowance. Tolls and parking are extra.
